St. George's Golf Course In Bermuda

The St. George’s Golf Course was a beautiful public course. It was situated on Park Road in the parish of St. George.It  is north of the Town of St. George in Bermuda.

The parish makes up the whole of St. George’s Island (formerly referred to as Tortus Island. It is the largest island in Bermuda. The parish is named after the island’s founder; Admiral Sir George Somers.

The golf course measured 4043 yards, had 18 holes and a par of 62. It welcomed guests all year round ad was a popular tourist destination. However, the demolition of nearby hotels reportedly lead to the Board of Trustees for the Golf Courses  deciding to close the St. George’s Golf Course down three years ago, on July 2008.
