Hidden Beach, Bermuda – Where Is It?

Keep up to date with company news, specials and our unique take on things in Bermuda

Hidden Beach Bermuda

Hidden Beach is one of the many beaches of the parish of Southampton, along the South Shore Park where you can find some of the most beautiful beaches of Bermuda.

Located between the Horseshoe Bay Beach and the Chaplin Bay Beach, Hidden Beach is a quiet and secluded place where you will not find many tourists, not only because it hasn’t pink sands but soft white sands, but also because it is not easily accessible from the South Shore Park.

The best way to find it is to walk on the South Shore Park from Chaplin Bay towards Horseshoe Bay. For an even better experience of the South Shore beaches, start your journey earlier at Warwick Long Bay and stop on the way at Jobson’s Bay beach, Stonehole Bay beach and Chaplin Bay beach. Once you are back on the South Shore Park paths with the Ocean on your left, walk until past the long rocky and grassy area and arrive to a sandy area approximately the size of Stonehole and Chaplin bays. You’ll need to climb down the dunes or the edge of the park but once down there, you’ll find yourself on a large and wide beach with calm waters and barely anyone else.

Hidden Beach Rocks and Lagoon

Hidden Beach is a bit of a wild spot, so you’ll need to be aware that there are not really any facilities around and therefore will need to carry any food and water as well as towels and snorkelling equipment if you want to explore the waters. That is essentially the reason why it is so quiet and a perfect site for a romantic time.

There are a few rocks out in the sea but far enough so that you can swim away from the shore for a bit without encountering them, but not too far so that you can easily reach them if you are snorkelling. Remember though that the beach is unsupervised and that only experienced swimmers should risk going far from the shore. It is also recommended to keep an eye on children at all times when they are in or near the water. Hidden Beach is quite wide, so kids have a large playing area available with soft sands and no rocks or cliffs.

From Hidden Beach, you are only a few minutes walk from Horseshoe Bay Beach where you can find all the necessary facilities such as toilets and showers, as well as food concessions if you decide to  not carry too much on your journey to the secluded beach.
