Fourways Inn, Paget

The Fourways restaurant has been known for its warm, cordial welcome since its opening. This beautiful Bermuda eatery dates back to 1727. It is revered for its fabulous cooked meals and fully stocked wine cellar.

The restaurant is situated in picturesque Paget parish and is located in the illustrious Amen Corner. This fine regional landmark has stood for two and a half centuries. It also takes up two and a half acres of garden, kept behind walls. The Fourways gets its name from extending north, south, east and west. The building was constructed from indigenous cedar and coral stone, at the behest of  businessman John Harvey.

The wine merchant lived in this glorious Georgian home, and its ownership has passed down through the years. It may have undergone vast changes and remodelling in its time, but it has retained its local character, maintaining its high standing on the island.

The Fourways is a glorious regional restaurant, rich in history, while being on the cutting edge of dining. It is the perfect place to enjoy a mouth-watering meal in Bermuda.

On a recent visit to Bermuda we decided to try out the brunch at Fourways. We actually gasped in shock at the sheer magnitude of the buffet. Several rooms filled with the most scrumptuous foods. We tried as much as we could and nothing disappointed. Then, we hit the dessert buffet and took it over the top with flaming cherries, chocolate dipped fruits, and more. The price was pretty good for what we got. The service was unbeatable. Also, I didn’t feel this was a tourist trap. Seemed like many locals and expats out to celebrate or enjoy Sunday as a family.

Some people say it is a coin toss between Fourways and Tom Moore’s Tavern over in Tuckers Town, but, having eaten at both several times, I would say Fourways is a little better. The food is comparable but Fourways is more charming and warm. Tom Moore’s can get dull and disinteresting at times. So I would rate the overall experience of Fourways, plus the location, as better. Both have excellent wine lists.

We had our parents 50th anniversary dinner party at Fourways Inn and we couldn’t have asked for better service. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was wonderful. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Thank you for a wonderful evening with our family and friends.

Delicious food and outstanding service in an elegant dining room made for acharming memorable evening. While it may have been slightly more expensive than the other restaurants we visited on the Island the experience made it worthwhile. I would not go back to Bermuda without at least one visit to Fourways. Make sure you leave room for a souffle dessert.

My husband and three year old son visited the Four Ways brunch for my birthday. This has to be one of the best restaurants in Bermuda. The food was superb and the ambience was simply perfect. If you have children, they will be wooed by the pleasant and soothing atmosphere. Very family oriented with food that your toddler will eat! My husband and I were also able to enjoy the romantic atmosphere as well. Divine………
