Location Map of Angle Beach Bermuda

The parish of Southampton has the biggest concentration of beaches in Bermuda and Angle Beach is one of them, located along the South Shore Park that goes from Horseshoe Bay up to Astwood Cove in the parish of Warwick.

The beach can be found on the stretch of sand between Chaplin Bay and Horseshoe Bay and is not too easily accessible from the South Shore Park. Because there is a bit of a hike to get down to the beach from the park, most of the time the place is very quiet and empty, something that those looking for a romantic spot or a relaxing time in a wonderful scenery will appreciate.

The easiest and fastest way to go to Angle Beach is to start from Horseshoe Bay. Walk east through the park towards the parish of Warwick. There are two paths that leave from the beach, both located at the edge of it. Take the one closest from the ocean. After only a few meters and past a first sandy area circled by rocks, you’ll reach a bigger beach of white soft sand: Angle Beach will be the spot directly on your right.

You will not regret the little hike it takes to get on the beach. It is one of the wild beaches of Bermuda with a great view of the Atlantic Ocean with few tourists around. The advantage of Angle Beach is that it’s close to Horseshoe Bay and its food concessions and facilities, so you don’t need to carry a lot of with you.

The rocks on one side of the beach provide some shadows as well as a protection against any wind. There are a few rocks on the sea not too far from the shore so it is a great spot for snorkelling. The waters are fairly calm here and you can enjoy a swim in the deep blue ocean. Remember though, that the beach is not supervised and that caution must be exercised at all time, especially with children. They will like the large sandy area where they can freely play without having to avoid the many towels and chairs of other crowded beaches. It is also easier for parents to keep an eye on them.

If you want to discover other beaches of the South Shore, you can go back on the park’s paths and walk up to Chaplin Bay, Jobson’s Cove and Warwick Long Bay.
